The Next Page is a social entrepreneur on child abuse and domestic violence. The Next Page works in partnerships with, amongst others, the Dutch department of health, welfare and sport, nationwide expert centres and professionals from the field.
The Next Page was founded by Augeo Foundation in 2008, this foundation strongly encourages a safe development and environment for children.
The Next Page is the e-academy for all professionals working with children or their parents. She provides online courses on the approach of child abuse and domestic violence. Courses are standardized for the following professions: healthcare, education, welfare, youth care, police and justice.
The online courses teach professionals how to act on suspicions of child abuse and domestic violence. They learn how to recognise the signals, how to communicate effectively and how to act. Interactive methods, exercises and video cases are used. Courses take up to 4 hours. The learning efficiency is high.
The Next Page is currently developing English courses on domestic violence for Health care professionals. These will be available by the end of 2012.
